About Us

Mike Wainwright

Mike trained at the Université de Touraine in France, the De La Salle Teacher Training College (Manchester University), and the Lycée Climatique in Argelès-Gazost in the Basses-Pyrénées. He holds an Advanced Diploma in Secondary Education from Leeds University.

He taught French for 34 years, and was head of the French Department in a school in Harrogate. He retired from full time teaching in 2003, but continues to teach individuals and groups, using the TLC, with an age range of 9 to 90.

Always seeking to find interesting, innovative and enjoyable approaches to foreign language learning, Mike continues to experiment with different teaching methodologies, creating a unique teaching tool - The Language Cube.  

Henrietta Royle

Henrietta Royle worked as an international investment banker before becoming involved in education.  She has been Chief Operating Officer of both Cass Business School and City University in London.  She was  a governor of Herbert Morrison Primary School for 15 years.   She is currently the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association.  

Ivan Royle  

Ivan is a global marketing and communications leader with an entrepreneurial outlook and a deep understanding of market building and product development across multiple sectors. 

With a career spanning 20 years Ivan has held leadership positions at UCL (Head of Sales and Marketing), BNY Mellon Investment Services (Global Chief Marketing Officer), GE Capital (Head of Corporate Affairs EMEA), and GCI Financial (Account Director)
